A year is just long enough for each new season to be a revelation, no matter how many times we’ve done it before. This one for the colors and the light, the next one for total transformation within a single day or night and skate-able ice if we’re lucky, the one after that for new life, and the one we’ve just left for growing food and water warm enough to swim in.
